PCA continuously takes on new challenges to grow with its customers.

August 1980

PCA CORPORATION (Capital: 4 million yen) established by a group of Certified Public Accountants in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. Introduced PCA’s first product, the ABC Zaimu Kaikei System (Financial Accounting System) for Sharp’s MZ-80 series of personal computers, in December of the same year.

July 1981

Introduced the Kyuyo Keisan System (Payroll Accounting System) for the MZ-80 series of personal computers.

January 1983

Introduced Za Pasocon Kaikei (The Personal Computer Accounting) software for Fujitsu’s FM-8 personal computer. This established a foundation for PCA’s financial accounting systems during the period predating PCA Dream21.

April 1986

Opened the Osaka Sales Office (Osaka City, Osaka Prefecture). Later, in November of the same year, the cumulative number of companies that had purchased PCA’s financial accounting software surpassed 10,000.

February 1988

Introduced PCA Kaikei (PCA Accounting) as the successor to Za Pasocon KaikeiIII (The Personal Computer Accounting III) product. PCA Kaikei later achieved the No. 1 ranking on the list of best-selling commercial software compiled by Nikkei Personal Computing magazine. Established KEC CORPORATION, as a subsidiary of PCA, in April of the same year.

November 1989

Opened the Kyushu Sales Office (Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture).

March 1992

Built the Yamanashi Techno Center in Nakakoma-gun (now Kai City) in Yamanashi Prefecture. Relocated the System Development Department’s Kofu Office to, and established the System Testing Office at, the Yamanashi Techno Center.

July 1993

Introduced PCA KaikeiEX (PCA Accounting EX).

February 1994

Introduced PCA Kaikei for Windows (PCA Accounting for Windows), the first Windows-compatible accounting software package in Japan. Registered PCA’s shares in the Japan Securities Dealers' Association’s registry of over-the-counter traded securities. Opened the Hiroshima Sales Office (Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture). Relocated PCA’s headquarters to 1-2-21 Fujimi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. Consolidated all of PCA’s headquarters units at that location.

August 1995

Opened the Sapporo Sales Office (City of Sapporo, Hokkaido).

October 1996

Relocated the Hiroshima Sales Office to Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture, and added Shikoku to the sales responsibilities of the renamed Chu-Shikoku Sales Office.

March 1997

Introduced Kyuyo Jiman (salary accounting software) as the second product in the Jiman series. Opened a new Hiroshima Sales Office (Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture) in June of the same year to work with the Chu-Shikoku Sales Office to cover the Chugoku Region.

February 1998Opened the Sendai Sales Office (Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture).
July 1999

Introduced PCA World Model.

February 2000

Listed PCA’s shares on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Opened the Yokohama, Chiba, and Omiya sales offices in March of the same year.

May 2001

Introduced the PCA Dream21 Kihon Module (PCA Dream21 Base Module), which went on to win the Informatization Month Minister of International Trade and Industry (now Economy, Trade and Industry) Award, and the ISV Award in the 2001 Microsoft Certified Partner Awards.

February 2003

Introduced PCA Kaikei7 (PCA Accounting 7).

January 2005

Introduced PCA Kaikei8 (PCA Accounting 8).

June 2006

Gained the right to display the PrivacyMark. Established the Sapporo Lab in August of the same year.

May 2008

Inaugurated the PCA SaaS service, the industry’s first cloud service. Made MACS-System CORPORATION into a subsidiary. Underwent the Foundation for MultiMedia Communications’ certification procedure for disclosure of information on ASP and SaaS safety and reliability.

January 2010

Introduced PCA Kaikei9V.2R7 (PCA Accounting 9V.2R7). Opened the Nagoya Branch (City of Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture) in December of the same year. Opened the Hokuriku Sales Office (City of Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture).

February 2011

Introduced PCA KaikeiX (PCA Accounting X). Opened the Shizuoka Sales Office (City of Shizuoka, Shizuoka Prefecture) in May of the same year. Established Xronos Inc.

October 2012

Inaugurated PCAX Cloud service.

December 2014 Listed PCA’s shares on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
